Today, eating out is often a high-drama opportunity to immerse yourself in not only good food and conversation, but in a vibe that makes the humdrum everyday world feel far, far away. It’s no wonder that restaurants have become outlets for some of the most creative interiors in the world. Designers have incorporated technology, art, and nature among other themes to create a world for diners to escape to.
When Nando’s, a cool new restaurant, recently opened near Artcraft in National Harbor , we couldn’t help but notice what a great job they did creating a unique environment that’s inviting from the outside in. Awesome handmade wood and metal dining tables sit outside the entrance inviting you to check out what the inside must look like. Wait a second … those tables look very much like an Artist we work with here at Artcraft. We had to know. Was it her handiwork that made it from GA to a restaurant in MD? So, we put a call into Georgia artist Margaret Taylor at her Dryads Dancing studio. Sure enough, she had recently completed this Custom Commercial Installation. How cool!
