Take A Look – Sticks 2015 Spring/Summer Catalogue

One of our favorite parts of the spring season is looking through the new offerings from our talented artists. Sticks has released a full catalog of new pieces for 2015 and it’s right in line with what you’d expect from the unique and colorful brand. From small and decorative calendars, to sturdy, full-sized dining room tables, their 2015 collection covers it all and in the vibrant style you’ve come to expect. After spending some time looking through their new offerings, we’ve put together a short list of our favorite pieces:

60 Inch Round Dining Table

2015 Sticks Round Table TopMuch of the 2015 catalog is focused on transitions and this flowery dining table  is a perfect example.  Artwork on top of its 60 Inch diameter top depicts a landscape’s transformation across varying seasons. Between this scene and the outer edge is a track of seasonal floral designs including colorful wildflowers and autumnal foliage. The very outer ring is burned with Sticks’ trademark inspirational sayings. The table’s skirt ripples effortlessly to break up the lines, while the sturdy base is detailed further with floral designs and concentric colored squares.

We love the story this table tells as the landscape cycles from winter through summer with seamless ease. As always, Sticks built this table to be functional as well as decorative and included several coats of polyurethane protection to stand up against the wear and tear of everyday use.

Sunset Lazy Susan

A must-have for any beach home, this new Lazy Susan depicts a cozy transition from night to day with the creativity only Sticks can provide.  Stirring phrases like “Live by the sun | Love by the sticks hand painted lazy suzanmoon” add to the atmosphere. The beauty of this piece is that it’s as striking when it moves as when it stands still. The setting sun and rising moon swap places on a serene beach scene that brings up the same nostalgia that much of Sticks’ catalog does.

Sticks has a variety of Lazy Susans in this year’s catalog that speak to a number of different personalities. From this coastal landscape to wine and cheese, each one employs the rich colors that make Sticks so special.

Hand Painted Narrow Bookcase

We especially love the color scheme on this piece, which utilizes darker tones on the inside of the shelves. The darker shades serve to help the vivid colors on the sides pop while toning down the look overall. The piece is vibrant without being loud, and despite being a piece of art itself, still maintains its functionality to store and display.

Perpetual Calendars

Moving back to the transitions theme, this perpetual calendar depicts the changing seasons against a hilly landscape. This piece is unique from concept to sticks 2015 perpetual calendarexecution. A perpetual calendar utilizes magnets to arrange each month’s dates across an existing grid. Included are 31 numbers for dates, 12 holiday magnets and, of course, magnets for each month. Sticks included some of their favorite sayings on the inner border around the calendar, and set the colorful scenery inside a simple black and white striped outer boundary.

The 2015 collection includes two different perpetual calendars featuring the seasonal motif as well as a third, smaller calendar detailed with flowers and a winged heart.
