Mrs. Strauss has always been in-love with Sticks furniture. A recent bathroom renovation was the perfect opportunity to start her collection. She was looking for a bookcase to store towels and organize other related items in a fairly small space. We encouraged her to take a look through our Sticks Bookcase Catalog to get some ideas as to what size and shape might work best for her space.
Mrs. Strauss found Bookcase 4234 to be a great starting point. It was the only bookcase in the catalog that seemed to fit her space fairly well. However, she had two major concerns. First, the size was perfect except for the depth. At 14″ deep, she was very concerned it would be slightly too deep for her space. Secondly, the designs and colors shown on that bookcase were just not right for her. Our expert staff quickly put her mind at ease. We suggested that the bookcase be built 12″ deep instead. “You can do that?,” she said. Absolutely! Sticks can build just about anything. She was also very encouraged to find out that the design and colors can be anything she wants as well. Again, we encouraged her to return to our Sticks Catalog to look for inspiration. We instructed her to find any pieces in the catalog that inspired her for either color and/or design. Based on the theme of the bathroom, she loved the idea of bringing her love of flowers and gardening into the space. Here’s how her order came together:
Item to be Constructed: Custom Size Bookcase Based on #4234. This piece is to be built the same but to the following measurement – 24″w x 12″d x 60″h.
Color: Reference attached Bookcase #7676 for overall feel of color.
- Front edges of the bookcase to be Light Blue instead of the purple/lavender show.
- Inside bookcase and top to feature pale green.
Design: Floral Theme
- Reference Lazy Susan #106148.
- Create a similar feel on this bookcase.
- Cornflowers, daisies, Blackeyed Susans, etc.
- Inside and top to include some scattered leaves.
- Artist choice on backsplash design.
